“People think I’m lucky to do what I do. They’re probably right.”

Biography

Born in the sleepy logging town of Portland, Oregon in the early ‘70s, fortune led me to Seven nearly five years ago. After an overzealous amount of schooling and working for some terrific large companies, I really wanted a different challenge. Be careful what you wish for.

I was a rower in college and always loved cycling, but now, it’s gotten out of hand. My preference is for long mountain bike rides in nice weather, and Cyclocross when it’s not. Coffee rides with Mike S. are a four-season option. Happily married to Linda, with no kids or pets.

Why I work with Seven

So many reasons. I was drawn to the authenticity of the products we make and the innovation that we apply to our work. I’ve never worked harder or longer, or enjoyed myself more as a result of being part of this place.

My Role at Seven

I’m Seven’s Marketing Manager, which is something of a dream job for me. We have so many compelling stories to tell about our bikes, and it’s great to be able to share them.

Frequently Asked Questions about my job at Seven

1. You must ride a lot, then?
Yes, but less than I want, like most people.

2. How come you guys don’t offer a [insert niche product here]?
Maybe someday.

3.Do you weld?
Alas, no.

4. Can I have one of your bikes when you get tired of them?
See answer to question 3.
