Seven Supports Watertown High School Robotics Team
Seven Cycles

When David Burmaster, Ph.D. approached Seven Cycles for volunteer work to help the KwarQs, Watertown High School's rookie Robotics Team in the FIRST Robotics Competition, we jumped at the chance.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a unique varsity sport of the mind designed to help high-school-aged young people discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be.
The KwarQs will have six weeks to transform a standard kit of parts under a common set of rules into a robot designed to perform a competition-specific set of criteria. They will then compete with over 1000 other high school students on March 27th - 29th at the Agganis Arena at Boston University. Teams are rewarded for excellence in design, team spirit, gracious professionalism and maturity, and the ability to overcome obstacles. Scoring points is a secondary goal.
US First's mission is "To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes."
Seven Cycles has donated a significant amount of resources to welding the aluminum chassis and we wish the KwarQs, and all the teams, the best of luck.
