Team Seven’s Mary McConneloug has been chosen to represent the U.S. in the women’s cross-country mountain bike race at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens this August.<\/p>\n

Mary has had a remarkable season and is currently ranked #2 in the world (behind Norway’s Gunn-Rita Dahle). In World Cup competition\u2014which is generally regarded as the closest approximation of Olympic mountain bike competition\u2014Mary has established herself as one of the world’s elite cross country racers. Her 2nd place finish in the most recent round in Calgary, Alberta on July 4th proves she is capable of an Olympic medal.<\/p>\n
