This is the dream job for a serious professional bike mechanic.
Do you get satisfaction from tuning a bike to perform better than it ever has? Do you dream of working on bikes in a quiet environment with no interruptions from customers? Are you done with working in a bike shop truing chromed-steel-rimmed wheels covered with cobwebs? Do you like the idea of working on high-end contemporary well-kitted bikes all day? Do you want weekends to yourself rather than changing flats for hours on end?
If you find yourself nodding yes to some of these questions, we might have the perfect job for you.
Your job is to keep some of the best bikes in the world well maintained, tuned to perfection, and ready for service.
The high-end Seven bikes you work on range from customer bikes, demo bikes, and prototypes. The cutting-edge kits include parts from Shimano, SRAM, and others. Electronic shifting and mechanical. Hydraulic and cable-actuated brakes.
Each Seven frameset is custom-built by hand for a specific customer. Every Seven is thoughtfully unique. Every bike and every day is different.
Your workspace is right next to the factory where we've been building our custom titanium and carbon frames for 25 years. If the idea of working as part of the most experienced framebuilding team in the industry is interesting to you, apply for the bike mechanic role.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage and benefits relative to other small businesses. Benefits include partial health insurance coverage, flex time, paid time off, bike industry benefits, and more.
Work location: Primarily on-site at Seven Cycles in Watertown, MA. Sometimes working in the Ride Headquarters mobile van.
If this role sounds like what you've been dreaming about, apply for the job here. Do not call us. Do not contact us at other Seven email addresses. If you have questions or want more information, email us using this form, and include your resume and cover letter.
