Mo Bruno-Roy WINS today!

Mo-Bruno Roy and her Seven covered in mud

After finishing 5th overall in the Crank Brothers USGP Series with her performances in Portland, Oregon last weekend, Mo Bruno-Roy arrived at the US Cyclocross National Championships with every reason to feel confident about her chances. In her first race in Kansas City, Bruno-Roy demolished the Masters 30-34 field and finished in FIRST PLACE. Mo is now officially a Seven Cycles National Champion.

Her second opportunity for a national title this weekend comes in the Elite Women’s race on Sunday. After today’s win, watch out Katie Compton and Georgia Gould.

Bicycling Magazine Buyer’s Guide: Seven Axiom Race – The Last Race Bike You’ll Ever Buy?

Axiom Race

Beyond Smooth

Seven’s bikes are known for their comfort, but the Axiom Race shows that the builder can make a pure race machine too. Larger-diameter butted ti tubes produce a bike with more snap than Seven’s SG models. The company admits that the Axiom Race is built for discerning racers, who will find the degree of customization almost unparalleled.

Go the Distance

Some of today’s race frames are so light as to be almost disposable after a crash, but the Axiom Race withstands the rigors of racing better than many flyweights. Unless you are racing pro, says Seven’s Mattison Crowe, “you need something you can rely on over time.”—J.L.

Mo-Bruno Roy victory

After finishing 5th overall in the USGP Series last weekend in Portland, Oregon, Mo Bruno-Roy came to US Nationals in Kansas City with every reason to feel confident about her chances. On Friday, Mo dominated the 30-34 field in cool, dry conditions and was able to to win the Cyclocross National Championship. From everyone at Seven, congratulations to Mo on a great win and a terrific season!

Battling deep mud and strong winds, MM Racing p/b Seven Cycles rider Mo Bruno-Roy showcased her bike handling skills by out-pacing the majority of the field through technical sections of the course.

“It was important to get out in front because there was room for errors, like getting tangled up in the tape and taking bad lines,” Bruno Roy said. “Today was definitely a race of attrition rather than tactics, which is better for me. It was all about keeping the gas on.”Her podium finish on Saturday and 5th place finish on Sunday continues her streak of top placings against some of the toughest fields in North America. Mo resumes her racing schedule this coming weekend at Whitmore’s Cross Verge Mid Atlantic Series/NACT UCI in Southampton, New York.
