Touch Up Paint

Chipped or scratched paint can sometimes be touched up. To fix the damage, we suggest applying color-correct nail polish to the affected area.

This may sound strange, but the best touch-up paint is nail polish that's visually color matched. It is ideal because nail lacquer is significantly more durable than the industrial colors that Seven works with. Our paint colors are designed to be applied as a multi-stage process. Unfortunately, out of the container, that multi-step process can't occur, so the paint doesn't work well; the color doesn't have proper adhesion, doesn't have any surface durability, and doesn't have the appropriate gloss or matte sheen.

Our industrial protective clear coat which accomplishes some of these requirements includes an activator with no shelf life, so we can't bottle it as viable touch-up paint, either. Nail lacquer is an excellent all-in-one solution that addresses these requirements.

As an aside, on a titanium or carbon frame the chip will not damage the structure or durability and the frame will never rust. So, the chip doesn't need to be fixed for any safety or longevity reasons. Regardless, we do understand that it's nice to keep Sevens looking sharp.
