Seven's Rider-Ready Gravel Bikes Are Optimized For Dual Tire Sizes

Each model works with a range of tire sizes

Seven offers seven designs as part of our Rider-Ready gravel bike line. Following are Seven's recommended tire size range for each model. Of course, riders can use smaller tires than shown or recommended. However, performance will be impacted.

Whatever your gravel needs, Seven has your bike.

Wheel Systems: 700c & 32"

We offer both 700c and 32" wheel systems. However, it's not a good idea to design a bike for both sizes at once; there's no way to get the geometry to work well for both.

32" Gravel Warning: This wheel size option is new. Therefore, industry standards are not yet settled and component options are inadequate. Hub widths are debated. Tire size options are non-existent; 2.4" mountain bike sizes are about it. If you like being the first rider with new technology, or are a tall rider, 32" might be for you. For everyone else, at this moment, and if you'd like a future-proofed lightweight bike that will serve you well for a couple of decades, we recommend going with the industry standard 700c wheel size.

Beware the Kitchen Sink

Bike designs that claim perfect performance at any tire size are suspect. A gravel bike designed for 2.1" tires can certainly be ridden with 32 mm tires but "performance" is probably not an appropriate term for the ride characteristics of that tire disparity. Design engineering is always about tradeoffs. The wider the tire range promise, the lower the performance across that range.
