U.S. Built Custom Bicycles in Titanium and Titanium-Carbon Mix

Harald’s Cafe Racer S

This is Harald’s Cafe Racer S, built with our good friends at Wheat Ridge Cyclery in Wheat Ridge, CO.

There is a lot going on here, including a belt-drive Shimano Alfine 11 drive train, a custom,  Ti cockpit, handbuilt wheels with dynamo front hub, disc brakes and matching Brooks saddle and grips. This is a serious commuter/touring machine.

See more Cafe Racer builds here and here.

Mike’s Single Speed Evergreen S

This is Mike’s Evergreen S built by our friends at Bike Doctor in Waldorf, MD. This is Mike’s 9th Seven. By now he has drawn a firm bead on exactly what he wants out of a bike, and we were only too happy to build it for him.

Thanks for making another awesome frame for me! Took it out for the first spin today and it was INCREDIBLE! The fit & finish are impeccable but I was blown away by the frontend stiffness – the combination of the fork, wider steerer & carbon hoops made the bike track and respond better than anything I’ve ever experienced. Totally loving it!

Thanks!

Mike

Matt’s 622 SLX

This is Matt with his new 622 SLX. We built this one with our friends Matt and Wade at The Spokesman in Santa Cruz, CA.

He says:

Hey Matt and Wade,

I have had my bike now for 1 week, and I have to say it has far exceeded my expectations and wanted to thank you both. I have to say the fit is awesome. I have done several rides in the past week from 1-3 hours each. I used to always get lower back stiffness/soreness. That does NOT happen.

The ride is fantastic, little or no vibration yet a stiff frame with great acceleration! I was going down a hill today and looked down and could not believe I was going 42+ mph!

The components you guys recommend all rock, and I really like them. Disc breaks are great. I am most surprised with how much I like the Di2. I always heard it was good, but I always thought electronic shifting, big deal can’t be that different. Wow! Was I wrong!? It is so clean and exact.

I have been riding up Hicks Rd. for years. I can’t believe that with the Seven I did my best time ever! How is that possible?! Anyway I just want to thank you guys very much for all of your help to make this happen! Thank you very much!

Sean's Axiom SL

This is Sean’s Axiom SL, cooked up with our good friends at Cyclefit in Covent Garden, London. We had a really nice note from him in the spring about his bike, and here is an end-of-summer follow up. This one was too good not to post:

Hi Jimmy, Neil and John.

I hope you’ve all had as good a summer as I have. As per Jimmy’s request below, I just wanted to let you know that my Axiom SL continues to fulfill my every wish – I take back nothing of what I wrote in May.

My main goal this year was the Cent Cols Challenge, Cevennes edition. I’m 1 week back from it, and I can say that the bike performed beautifully – the roads were often harsh and broken, and the days were long, and while I was generally pretty shattered at the end of a day, I’m more than pleased with how the frame rode. Stiff, yes, but that’s what it’s supposed to be. Next time I’ll probably put 25/28c tyres on it, but that’s a learning experience. It really is everything I wanted in a bike, and I have to say that amongst the sea of off the peg carbon bikes, it really stood out – I lost count of the number of times people said “What sort of bike is that? … Man, that’s a really nice frame”

As is customary, I thought I’d attach a photograph – well, 80 photographs, actually. 80 of the 100 cols climbed over the 10 days, with the bike against each col marker sign.

Again, massive thanks to all you guys, and the teams at Seven and Cyclefit… So very happy with my ride.

Quick stats:

  • 10 days of riding
  • 1800km distance (give or take)
  • 36000m of climbing (give or take)
