U.S. Built Custom Bicycles in Titanium and Titanium-Carbon Mix

Seven on the Ventoux

Seven on the Ventoux

One of the great joys of having so many bikes out in the world is that people are constantly doing awesome and amazing things on them. Here we have Larry conquering one of the legendary climbs of cycling history on his Axiom SL, a product of our long collaboration with River City Bicycles in Portland, OR.

Larry Says:

Bastille Day, Sunday July 14, 2013.  The Seven conquers the Ventoux.  This was taken about six hours before Stage 14 rolled through Bedoin and finished on top of the Ventoux.

Paul F’s Super Hero Blue Axiom SL

Paul F's Super Hero Blue Axiom SL

We built this fine Super Hero Blue Axiom SL with our friends at Helen’s of Santa Monica.

Paul says:

Folks at Seven,

Just wanted to send a picture of the completed bike.  It was a great experience working  with Neil on the design of this bike and I wanted to thank him for his input on the color combination which turned out fantastic.  The bike has exceeded my expectations for form, fit, and quality.  The paint job is a work of art and I wanted to thank Mike, Stef, Dan and Staci for their effort in building not only an awesome ride but a work of art. The picture was taken this week on the commute home in Manhattan Beach California.  I am sure Neil is familiar with this view.

Thanks again,

Paul

Mike T’s Mudhoney

Mike T's Mudhoney

This Swimming Pool Blue, steel Mudhoney belongs to our good friend Mike from Richardson Bike Mart.  He told us he seems to get a new cyclocross bike every year, but they’re never quite right, so he decided to go custom and get both the fit and finish he’s been missing. Mike wanted a threaded adjuster on the down tube to tension the front derailleur and full length housing to the rear derailleur to keep the mud out. We shipped this to him a few weeks ago, and he wasted no time before getting dirty.

Mike says:

Please send along my sincere thanks and gratitude for the team at Seven Cycles that helped with my Mudhoney.  I rode it on Tuesday in the rain and raced it Wednesday night in a little mud.  I am confident to say this is the best handling bike I have ever ridden.  The steering performance and handling could not be better.  The drive train is ‘race stiff’, just like I wanted.  Did some standing efforts to get my 210 lbs up the short steep climbs last night and I did not feel I missed a beat with the steel frame.  I love it.

John C’s Expat S

John C's Expat S

We built this stealthy Expat S with our friends at Wheel Werks Custom Bikes in Crystal Lake, IL.

John says:

Wow – what a great bike you designed and built for me!  I spent most of the weekend riding as much as possible!  It’s solid, responsive, and comfortable to ride.  I even got my first, “Hey, what kind of bike is that?”.  It was fun explaining the frame and components!

And here is John with Bob Olsen, the man with the plan at Wheel Werks.

Leila’s Axiom SL

Leila racing her Axiom SL

We love getting pictures like this one from Leila K in Austin, TX. We built this Axiom SL for her with our friends from Mellow Johnny’s.

As a custom bike, the Axiom SL is one of the most versatile we make. Some riders build it for group riding, some to tour, some to commute, and others, like Leila, to race. With subtle geometry changes, an infinite number of tube choices, and then all the custom options you could want, arriving at that perfect bike is easy. Leila chose a custom decal for hers, something to set off her MJ’s team kit.

She says:

I’ve been riding it (and racing  it) for about 3-weeks now and I LOVE it! Being an odd size I’ve always  settled for whatever frame fit best. This bike fits perfectly. I’ve now raced it twice and it handles beautifully and is very responsive. I’ve already gotten so many complements on the bike. Thank you so much!
