U.S. Built Custom Bicycles in Titanium and Titanium-Carbon Mix

CG’s Mudhoney PRO

Another beautiful build from our friends at Cascade Bicycle Studio, this is CG’s Mudhoney PRO.

A pristine Mudhoney PRO strikingly poses against a weathered concrete wall

Zac at CBS says:

CG wanted a disc platform that could be raced during the cross season, and used for gravel events in the spring.   He went all in with a power meter, Enve M50 wheels, and Campagnolo Super Record.

Seven at (Unofficial) Gravel Worlds

Gravel Worlds road sign

There is no UCI sanctioned gravel World Championship, but a hearty bunch of riders in Lincoln, Nebraska put on an event every year that stands in, a sort of not-all-the-way serious race that gets pretty serious and attracts a lot of fast riders.

One of those fast folks is Kae, for whom we built an Evergreen SL with our buddy Bob at Wheel Werks Custom Cycles in Crystal Lake, IL. Kae won the Open Women’s category and pulled on the striped jersey.

Here are some photos and a note from Kae:

Gravel Worlds gear

Kae says:

Bob,

We were in Lincoln NE to compete in the (unofficial) Gravel Worlds Championship.

Rode with different packs, battled with high wind alone, crushed (and got crushed by) relentless hills (it’s not flat in NE!). After 9 hours of saddle time, I achieved my goal – the worlds jersey with champion stripes!!

For overall (men/women all categories included) 19th out of 300+.

My Seven really made a difference. Thank you SO much for your expert assembly and attention to details. No mechanical whatsoever, I am so comfortable on the bike, up, down or flat or HARD riding.

It’s done quite a few unpaved rides/races this year so far (KS, NE, UP Michigan, WV, PA) and more are to come. I have lots of stories to tell you …. including a HUGE moose encounter.

Hope to see you soon!

Kae

Mark’s Evergreen S

This is Mark’s Evergreen S, delivered by our friends at Wheat Ridge Cyclery.Evergreen S

Mark says:

Hi Seven,

I never sent you a pic of the new rig!

I love the geometry! Great descending bike and my back is really liking the slightly taller front end!

Here’s the build:

-Chris King Headset, 44 mm

-Whiskey No. 9 fork with through axle and fender mounts (nice stiff fork, but the fender mount is located too close to the head tube and is not compatible with any existing fenders on the market)

-Wheels: DT Swiss 240s hubs laced to Pacenti SL25 rims, Specialized Robaix 32 mm tires (nice tires!)

-Shimano components: Shimano mechanical hydraulic disc brakes, R 685 STI 11-speed levers and RS 785 brake caliper set, Shimano Ice tech rotors, Dura ace compact 50 x 34 crankset, Shimano Ultegra 6800 long cage derailleur, Shimano Dura Ace front derailleur

-Shimano Pro PLT handlebars, Thompson seatpost and bar

-Brooks Cambium C15 carved saddle…nice saddle for me for short distances, but I have a tendency to sit where the rivets are located. So I’ve since put my trustworthy Cobb saddle on this bike as well.

Seven on the Top Step

We had this note (and photo) from Team Seven Cycles rider Hart Robinson, who did us proud with a win over the weekend:

Guys,

Bayou Boiling Point XC race was today on the banks of Arkabutla Lake in Mississippi.  The weather couldn’t have been better.  My Seven Sola SL SS did not disappoint.  The trail was tight, technical, and rooty with very short punch hills.  I managed a win among Cat 1 19-39.  My Sola SL soaked up all the bumps and left me feeling fresh.  The bike really is perfect for me.

386 Miles

Steve is smiling after riding his Seven 386 miles

We built and delivered this Axiom SLX only 10 days ago. This morning we received this note from the rider’s proud daughter:

This is a picture of my father, Steve, after completing the Bessie’s Creek 24 hour in Brookshire, TX. He covered 386 miles and still looks pretty good! Needless to say I think he was very pleased with his bike. It served him well.

That’s what we call a comprehensive shake out ride.
