Colby Pearce is a bit special, not because he won 14 National Championships on the track, in fact, not because of anything he’s done on the bike. When we first met him, he didn’t even mention his racing career. He didn’t feel he needed to, and that, we think, is what makes him different. He brings a quiet passion to his work as a fitter and coach. The past is less important than the future for him, and that’s a view we share.

He asked us to build him a Evergreen SLX, a real all-road killer, and he gave us the freedom (just a suggestion about the paint design) to build what we wanted.

Now he’s written something nice about the bike we made him , and shared some good photos. We’re pretty proud of how this one came out. If you’re in Boulder and need a fit, a new bike, or just want to ogle this one, get in touch with Colby. He’s well worth working with.

Martin’s 622 SLX

Here is Martin’s 622 SLX, with custom komodo pink paint. The guys at Bicycle Speed Shop in Houston delivered it for us.

Hi! Hope all is well and that you are building bicycles like crazy. Yesterday Brian came to Mexico (to visit his brother) and brought my beautiful Seven 622 SLX in person. I am still out of words and I have a very jealous wife & kids back home. Today I had my professional fitting done and the fitter was out of words too. Attached a few pictures of the final build. Please thank everyone at Seven for their masterful work.

Like Elves

When you make things (like elves), you find very quickly that there is never a time when someone doesn’t want you to make something. And so, we have had a very busy December here at Seven. Rather than wax rhapsodic about the spirit of the season, let us just say how grateful we are to be able to make things people want (like elves do), and wish you all a happy holiday season.

Joe’s Expat SL

Here is a do-everything touring machine we built for Joe with our friends at Spokes, Etc. in Alexandria, VA. This Expat SL incorporate S&S couplings, front and rear rack & fender mounts, a kickstand, belt drive, generator hub, extra water bottle mount and a pump peg. We like this build because it really demonstrates the extent to which a rider can personalize a Seven to produce what is, for them, the ultimate bike for the purpose (or many purposes).

Joanne’s Evergreen SL

Here is Joanne’s Evergreen SL. We built it with our good friends at Bespoke Cycles in San Francisco. This one is painted Super Hero Blue, with some Gloss Black, and Platinum accents, as well as a bare Ti rear end.
