The Evergreen Ready's Mission: Faster and farther gravel and mixed terrain riding combined with impressive allroads speed.
Are you ready? Your Seven is.
3 reasons to get The Ready: Faster, Farther, Forthwith
ONE: Ride Faster. Gravel speed doesn't just come from being able to accelerate fast — although the Ready accelerates with the best. Sustained speed is what's important. This comes from control in the form of more precise cornering, improved traction at the edges of capability, confident descending, flow over rocks and roots, and the active use of body English to get you through it all more gracefully and scuff-free. Get ready for more personal FKTs.
TWO: Ride Farther. Longer rides are better rides. At least it's true when riding Seven's handbuilt titanium frame, unique tubeset spec, optimized geometry, and more refined rider fit options. You'll find you can ride longer, over rougher terrain, and feel better at the end of the day.
THREE: Available Right Now! That's why we call this bike The Ready. Order today, and you can be riding in about three weeks. Framesets are ready to go in a week. Faster to you. Faster under you. Let's Ride!
Why is the Evergreen Ready the ideal gravel bike?
Here are a few reasons:
Better handling: Available in 12 sizes and 2 fit profiles, The Ready's more precise sizing provides much better rider weight distribution and center of gravity for the best handling of any stock bike.
Unparalleled ride feel and fun: Each of The Ready's 12 frame sizes has a size-specific tubeset with an optimal rider weight range. Rather than a single weight limit for all sizes — as performance carbon bikes seem to have — The Ready's optimal weight recommendation provides a ride feel and rider connection that has never been possible with a stock bike.
Terrain Versatility: This gravel bike fits up to 700c x 43 mm knobby tires — for rough gravel — down to 28 mm slick tires — when performance road riding calls to you.
A new level of control: Again, 12 frame sizes in 2 fits with 12 distinct tubeset profiles. Add to this Seven's innovative application of titanium, and you've got easier body English control than ever.
Complete Trust In The Equipment. Titanium for its durability and simple care. Groupset options chosen for ease of maintenance and service track records. Wheels that will roll for years. Each part chosen for durability and reputation first.
Toughness: Titanium can handle abuse and impacts that would crack, rip, or dent other materials. Near impervious to wear damage from grit and grime — unlike carbon. Seven's titanium 3-2.5 alloy is the best material for building the toughest bikes.
Better fit because The Ready comes in two distinct fit profiles: Our Standard Fit and Endurance Fit. Seven's Standard Fit, in 12 sizes, provides a riding position similar to that of popular stock bikes. Our Endurance Fit, available in 12 sizes, provides a slightly higher front and has a bit shorter reach. That's 24 sizes to choose from — compared to 5 to 7 for stock bikes. We're confident you'll have a better fit than any stock bike you've ever ridden.
Why a gravel bike from Seven?
Too many reasons. Here are a few.
Applied Experience: Seven Evergreen gravel bikes have been ridden to multiple pro podiums at the Unbound 200. Evergreens have been under winners of the TransAtlantic Way 2,500 km gravel race. Seven's gravel bikes have proven themselves in all conditions, from the brutal 200k Rift Iceland to long-term ultralight bikepacking, and everything in between. Seven has built more mission-specific titanium gravel bikes than anyone else. We bring this knowledge base to every new bike we build. Your Seven will have the same pedigree.
More Framebuilding Experience: Most Sevens are built by three artisans — a framebuilder, a welder, and a framewright. On average, these three have over 40 years of framebuilding experience. There are no more experienced titanium builders on the planet. This depth helps us build better bikes.
More Titanium Experience: Without a doubt, titanium is the best frame material for gravel bikes. Seven's founders have been building titanium bikes for 36 years, without interruption, and longer than anyone else. 30-plus years ago, Seven's founders developed the titanium tube specification that is still widely used today. If you want something built of titanium, there is no more knowledgeable team to work with.
Continuous Innovation: One of our founders was racing gravel bikes 35 years ago — in the form of drop bar mountain bikes. We thought we were onto something. (Maybe just a couple of decades early.) We've learned continuously since those early days. Fast forward to today: Our latest work on vibration damping and big hit control can be felt in The Ready. Seven has always pushed the bounds of what's possible on a bike. The Ready has more of what's proven and none of what's not.
Built by riders for riders. Who built your bike? Many of our crew ride gravel bikes as their primary love. We've been riding the local trails for more than three decades, since before mountain bikes became a thing. Some of us cut out teeth in BMX, some in cyclocross, and some just rode into the woods. Whatever the reason to ride, it's all good. And even better in the dirt.
Made in the USA. Our founding team has been building bikes in Massachusetts for more than three-and-a-half decades. There are a lot of reasons we build bikes this way. In the end, all that really matters is whether you can feel the difference in the ride. We find that most riders do.
Bike weights are estimated based on claimed component weights provided by manufacturers. We use average-sized components when there are options (crank length, etc.) and a 54.0 frame and fork cut for that size frame.
Riding Sweet Spots: Gravel and mixed terrain, including trails and flowy singletrack.
Performance Profile
An excellent climber and descender, this bike loves tougher terrain, as the Performance Profile shows. Also, Seven's 12 sizes of Rider Ready Weight Rated tubesets mean maximized performance in your size.
Bike Handling
This bike has our Neutral Gravel Handling, so it works well in all gravel-centric situations. When paired with 30 mm road tires, the handling is a bit quicker and therefore well suited to performance allroad riding. Additionally, Seven's 12 sizes of Rider Ready Weight Rated tubesets mean ideal handling in your size.
Sizes & Fit
The best-fitting stock gravel bike you'll ever own. We offer this bike in Two fit profiles: Standard Fit and Endurance Fit. 12 sizes each. Every size has a distinct recommended rider weight limit — not too harsh and not too soft — providing the best performance possible.
Riding Proficiencies & Sweet Spots
This bike loves gravel first. It also enjoys a range of other riding responsibilities.
No racks or panniers. Total additional load >20 lbs.[4]
Footnotes:
"Too much bike": This model is more than you need for this type of riding. The bike rides great within these categories, but if this is your primary use, we have more appropriate models to choose from.
"Sweet spot": Where this model shines. What the bike was made for. Of course, the bike can do a lot more. If one or more of these categories best describes your riding, this could be your ideal bike.
"Under-biked": This model works well for this kind of riding but was not designed optimally for this use. If this category describes your primary riding, we have more appropriate models to choose from.
"Not intended": Don't use the bike for this purpose. If one of these categories is your intended riding sweet spot, choose one of our models that provide an optimal riding experience.
Performance Profile
Optimized for versatility, leaning toward performance. This gravel bike shines at higher speeds and where bike control is paramount — on challenging descents and loose surfaces.
Enhanced stiffness: Seven's straight gauge tubeset means the front end is slightly stiffer than average. This enhances some aspects of climbing speed and descending control.
Footnotes:
Standard performance: The performance that Seven's typical bike in this riding category has. In general, 100% is our ideal performance. If we've decreased a percentage, it means for this specific model with these specific features, options, and upgrades, we believe the change provides a benefit. The same is true when we increase a percentage. Percentages are estimates.
Sustained climbing: Long climbs, usually seated. A lighter, more lively frame can make long ascents quicker.
Punchy climbs are short hills that you're probably standing while pedaling for a good portion of the climb. A stiffer tubeset can benefit this kind of climb.
High-frequency vibration damping: Vibration from rough pavement, like chip seal, or any kind of small repeated defects. Titanium does a good job of damping those vibrations, and the way Seven applies the material doubles down on the damping. There is no smoother ride on chip seal than a titanium Seven.
Body English is how your movement on the bike affects the bike's handling, feel, and control. The more amenable your bike is to body English, the more control you have in tight situations: twisty switchbacks, tight corners, and tricky trails.
Tracking: The more the wheels stay in plane with each other, the more accurate the bike's tracking. Once the bike is going in a direction, it wants to stay in that direction. Conversely, rigid tracking can make it difficult to use body English to control the bike and make sudden direction changes.
Big hit absorption: Seat stays with Flow[14] absorb big bumps and obstacles — rocks, roots, step-ups, broken pavement — better while helping maintain control in those situations. The larger the obstacle, the more benefit you feel.
Tire traction comes from a number of sources. A well-designed frame that has Flow[14] can have a large influence on front and rear tire traction. More traction means more control and more speed. More Flow, more traction.
Flow: This term encompasses all the positive aspects of a smoother ride. You flow over rocks, roots, broken pavement. You can use body English more actively. You have improved tire traction. Flow is one of the most important and impactful aspects of a performance gravel bike.
Touring & bikepacking: Stiffer seat stays mean better bike handling when loaded with gear. Generally, Seven considers the tipping point from performance riding to ultralight touring or bikepacking to be at about 13 lbs. of additional gear front & rear. Loaded touring or bikepacking is around 25+ lbs. of additional gear.
Handling Scale
With 700c x 43 mm knobby tires, handling is neutral and balanced, so the bike rides well on a broad range of terrains.
With 700c x 30 mm slick tires, handling is slightly quicker, making it good for performance allroad riding.
Rider Fit Options
We offer two distinct fit profiles in 12 sizes each.
Standard Fit: A neutral fit position for gravel riding. Our most popular geometry works well for the majority of riders. Similar to the industry's common gravel bike fit.
Endurance Fit: Slightly more upright and shorter than our standard gravel position. Better for long rides where comfort is as important as performance. This fit profile can also be better for exploring unknown territory. For each of the 12 frame sizes:
The front end height and handlebar position is about 3.0 cm (1.2") higher.
The reach from saddle to handlebar is about 1 cm (0.4") shorter.
